Arsenal F.C, an English football club from North London, have never won the Champions League. The closest the club has ever come to winning the competition was in 2006, when Arsenal were the runners up, losing to Barcelona 2 - 1 in the final. Arsenal are the first club from London to have ever reached the final of the Champions League.
Despite this, Arsenal are still one of the most successful clubs in English history: They have won the English top flight 13 times, behind only Man United (19) and Liverpool (18). In addition, the club has won 10 FA cups, 2 league cups and 12 FA community/charity shields.
Although Arsenal have not won European club football's most prestigious prize, they have won other European competitions. In the 1969-70 season they were victorious in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and in the 1993-94 season they were triumphant in the European Cup Winners Cup.
