Robert Ng’ambi (Platinum Stars)
Since his days at Black Leopards, where he led the team to the
Nedbank Cup Final, Robert Ng’ambi has always been regarded as a good
player. But this year, in the colours of Platinum Stars, the Malawian
international went from good to exceptional.
Last season, the 27-year-old netted eight goals in all competitions
and helped Dikwena finish second on the log – which was the club’s
highest ever finish in the PSL.
And after the departure of Cavin Johnson, Ng’ambi’s career under
Allan Freese reached greater heights. Just six months into the new
season Dikwena won the MTN8, with Ng’mbi netting three goals, as well as
Telkom Knockout, where he scored a single goal.
With eight goals to his name this season, the player has already
equalled last season’s tally. And if his form continues, it will not be a
surprise if big clubs come knocking.
