The Tooting and Mitcham football club is located at the club's stadium at Imperial Fields. Imperial Fields is located in the London borough of Mitcham, Mitcham is in the south of London, around twelve and a half kilometres from Charing Cross, towards the south west.
The club was formed in 1932 when the two rival teams of Tooting and Mitchman decided to merge.
The team has several nicknames including "The Terrors", "Stripes" and "The half-halfs". The second nickname draws on their uniform which is an amalgamation of their earlier uniforms; it now consists of black and white stripes. The second is a reminder of their original merger.
Billy Smith is currently the team manager and Alan Simpson is the team's chairman.
