• Michael Jordan.

Born February 17th, 1963, Jordan is perhaps the most famous basketball player in history.

Playing for the Chicago Bulls from 1984-1998 and the Washington Wizards from 2001-2003. He won 6 NBA championships and was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) a staggering 5 times.

• Larry Bird

Born December 7th, 1956, Larry Bird had a career spanning from 1979 to 1992. In this time he won 3 NBA championships with the Boston Celtics and was voted MVP 3 times.

After retiring from the game, Bird went on to coach the Indiana Pacers during the seasons 1997 to 2000.

• Magic Johnson

Earvin 'Magic' Johnson, born August 14th, 1959, played for the LA Lakers winning 5 NBA championships and 3 MVP awards.

Johnson was a member of the olympic gold winning US 'Dream Team' in 1992, and has been honored as one of the 50 greatest players of all time.

Since retiring Johnson has worked as a motivational speaker and advocate of HIV and Aids awareness, a disease he was diagnosed with in 1991.

• Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, born March 6th, 1972, played in the NBA for nearly two decades. In this time he played for the Orlando Magic, La Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.

He won 4 NBA championships and was voted Most Valuable player 3 times.
