Why Don't Rugby Players Wear Jockstraps And Cups?

Because when they were legal, they were used as a weapon.
Players would use the hard surface to smash the faces/ noses of other players when the ref was not looking.
No hard cups are allowed by the rules.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that rugby player's have big ego's.but the rules of ruby do not say anthing about cups.
