Kobe Bryant currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is the son of Joe 'Jellybean' Bryant, who is with the Los Angeles Sparks as their Head Coach, and during his time played for the Philadelphia 76ers. Kobe is a flamboyant player and one of the stars of the NBA currently. He was the first person to be drafted straight out of high school, a record in the NBA. Besides playing with the LA Lakers, Kobe is also the NBA's all-star shooting guard. In 2003, he was ranked 59 out of 75 in the Top 75 all-time player's list created by SLAM magazine.
Kobe has been in phenomenal form recently, scoring more than 60 points two times in the month of March, once against Portland Trailers (65 – this was the highest number of points scored in a game during the current season) and again, in less than a week, against the Memphis Grizzlies (60). He also scored at least 50 points in four games consecutively. He is the second person to score at least 50 points in four consecutive games. The current record is held by Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 50 points seven times consecutively in a single season.
