My Golf Cart Batteries Are Not Taking A Charge, Can You Help?

If they are completely dead the newer chargers will not kick in. Plug in a standard car charger to the batteries for 10-20 minutes to get them up to the level that is needed for the golf car charger to kick in.

If the batteries are as much as six  years old they need replacing, but first , I
would check to see if there is corrosion on the terminals and battery wires. If
you have not used distilled water the plates could be stuck together, which also
means the battery life is over !!

If you have one bad cell in one battery, it will pull all the others down to its level rather than the other five pulling the one bad one up to their level. What you have to do is have all the batteries discharged, then while there is a load applied to the batteries, you test each battery individually to find the bad one(s). If more than one battery is not showing at least 5 amps while under load, replace all six. Also, make sure there is not a blown fuse in your charger. If you're getting power to the charger but not from the charger, you're peeing into the wind

A resistor in the charger probably burnt out or you do not have it plugged in.

Maybe you need new batteries I'm having the same problem but I know I need new batteries.
