The World is a WWE Theme based restaurant and nightclub. It was opened in the Times Square in New York City. It is located in the corner of a Broadway on the 43rd Street. In the year 1999 the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon rented a space at the Paramount Theatre in the Times Square in Manhattan.
The Restaurant was originally named as 'WWF New York'. The nightclub also had a shop in it which would stock all the original merchandise from WWF and its stars. The club would also let visitors watch Pay Per View Battles on big screen. The shows would include RAW and Smack Down! In the year 2002, month of May WWE renamed the nightclub cum restaurant to 'The World'. Also the company's name was changed from WWF to WWE.
