Eugenie Bouchard is a name of French origin in the first place, and you can sure bet she speaks French too.

She's actually Canadian, but a large number of Canadians are either native-French speakers (especially in Quebec) or bi-lingual English and French speakers.

Eugenie Bouchard falls into the second category of bi-lingual Canadians.

Known for both her amazing tennis skills as well as her good looks, Eugenie Bouchard is fast becoming one of the biggest sports stars on the planet.

She grew up in Montreal, Canada and has spoken both English and French since childhood.

Need evidence of her French language skills? All you need to do is watch one of her TV interviews:

Well being from Montreal of course she has to speak French. They make you pass French Written & Oral to graduate from high school in Quebec. From what I understand her parents are both French Canadians born in Quebec. I think Eugenie Bouchard's this anglophone accident is due however first to the fact that she grew up in Westmount and affluent anglophone community in Montreal and second to the fact that she went to Florida at an early age to learn tennis.

Yes of course Eugenie Bouchard speaks French. They make you pass French written & oral to graduate from high school in Quebec. Her parents are French Canadians born in Quebec as far as I can tell by their names. She is technically a French Canadian I think however her thick anglophone accent when speaking French is a quick indication that she has grown up in English speaking communities. She is from Westmount which is the most affluent anglophone community in Quebec. She then went to Florida very young to learn how to play tennis.
