The simplest way is to create an account on Ebay. Then used the Advanced Search features and tick the box which says "Completed Listings". Type in a search term which corresponds to your football cards. Then you will be able to see the prices which similar items have sold for in the past. Of course, if there's something highly distinctive about your cards, this may not give you an accurate indicator. But assuming people are buying and selling the same kinds of things fairly regularly, it should tell you what you need to know.

Have you tried searching the web for football trading card sites? I am not aware of any, but I am sure there are some. I just did this and found many sites. One is www.football.about.com/cs/tradingcards/
