Slamball could be looked at as an alternative version of the popular sport basketball. The aim of the game is to score points by getting the ball through the opposing team’s net.

However, Slamball is different because the court includes four trampolines for competitors to jump on. Each net has four trampolines set up in front of them; primarily used to jump high in the air and score a ‘slam dunk’. The trampolines can be used both by attacking players who are looking to score, as well as defending players who are looking to protect their net and prevent their team from conceding.

Slamball is regarded as a full-contact sport and boards are set up around the perimeter of the court to try and keep players and spectators safe. The courts themselves are specifically engineered by experts and it is by no means cheap to build them.

My advice to you would be to do some research and see if you can find a date where the Slamball officials will be visiting where you live. They have been known to host many events that allow you to experience the sport first hand on an official court built by professionals for professionals.

The best way to get Slamball to where you live would be to contact your local gymnasium or sports hall and enquire into whether they would be prepared to host the event. From there, someone will get in touch with the Slamball officials and inform them of your interest and from there you will receive whatever prices and other details that you will need to know.

Although I’m sure you would love to have a Slamball court in your backyard, the safest and most sensible thing to do would to be to leave it to the professionals to host events for you to participate in.
