Back in the early days of moviemaking a sound effects man gathered hundreds of crickets for a night scene, and they were totally silent. He rang UCLA (probably) and was told that their chirp was a mating call. "Just separate the males from the females and they'll perform for you."

No problem. He got hundreds of boxes and put one in each.

Test cricket is about as entertaining as watching paint drying but takes longer. Any game that can last five days and end in a draw has gotta be a dead loss.

But the 20/20 version is quite the opposite and I'd back it as an exciting spectator sport against just about anything.

Hmm, I thought you of all people would take me to task for that sacrilegious slur on test cricket.

I did think about it, but I was mainly grateful that the true meaning of "cricket" was affirmed. :)

Oh, I suppose it's a disadvantage when one gets  in the house, 'cause they're noisy little suckers, but, outside.......heaven to my ears. ;)
